Geos
Managed to get to 57° today. Under-performed, likely due to that convection this morning. Sun came out partially about 3pm.
stormtrackertf
I had the misfortune of walking out to my car tonight when that squall line rolled through Taylor...it wasn't severe, but I think that wins the award for heaviest December downpour. That would've been solid for July.

Geos
Sad times when 57 is underperforming in late December. Was nice to not have to wear a coat today or have the furnace on. 0.60" of rain today total. Last bit of rain had a pretty good gust of wind probably around 40 mph. Powerball
Sad times when 57 is underperforming in late December. DTW *only* made it to 59*F so far, which still breaks the record, but for now falls short of what was expected. That said, another rally is expected during the late evening/early morning hours as the rain exits (we'll probably set a midnight high for tomorrow). DaveNay
Winds are really cooking now, gusting to 34kts. 54 mph gust in Peru, IL. Don't have my anemometer working here, but those numbers have to be pretty close here south of DKB as well. Had a hard time feeding the horses tonight...half a bale of hay came right back in my face. hawkeye_wx
My rainfall only totaled 0.38", but I did get a decent, albeit very brief, thunderstorm late this afternoon. That's not something we see every Christmas week. The temp rose to 55 ahead of the low. It appears this will be the last 50-degree temp for a while. cyclone77
Can't believe we've had tornado events in the DVN cwa in both Nov and Dec. That's gotta be a first. Been one heck of a final 2 months of the year. Two tornado events, with a 8"+ snowstorm sandwiched in the middle.
