Thundersnow12
via LOT... That's Caplan's house I believe Still 32 degrees which is really annoying and cutting down on accumulations here as well.
dmc76
Heaviest of the storm so far.

Stebo
Small dry pocket passing through now, but just woke up and it looks like we have at least an inch and a half here just eyeballing. Behind this dry pocket is some of the heaviest snow of the day so we should really be cooking in about 30 mins.

michsnowfreak
We had about a half inch of slush which has almost all melted, an inch over at DTW with snow still on the ground. Its annoying but kind of to be expected, which means heavy snow should arrive in about 3-4 hours.
Stebo
DTX added Lenawee County to the Winter Storm Warning. Even though you are in advisory, I think you are going to do fine.
Jackstraw
Looks like IND pulled the trigger on advisories. Been snowing a good clip here for 2 hours. Between 1.5 and 2 down est. thought we'd be in rain for most of the afternoon, nice surprise.
SchaumburgStormer
Down near Decatur, have a nice coating on the grassy surfaces while light snow falls. Nice break from the brown.
Powerball
Even though you are in advisory, I think you are going to do fine. I have the same conditions as michsnowfreak right now (as far as slushy snow struggling to stick), but I don't want to put up the white flag just yet with the main round having not yet come through. Chicago Storm
Snow intensity has been up/down al morning as waves of heavier snow has moved through...Now rates are increasing again as the main band of LE snow moves in.

Its frustrating, but not unexpected. If not for the white on some rooftops still it would not even have appeared to snow. Its a winter wonderland very close by. But there is no reason to pull the white flag - everythings going as expected so far. this is why we have consistently been progged to have lower totals. the main band should hit us with the same intensity as those areas with higher totals
dmc76
The stuff down in Ohio in north eastern Indiana looks very encouraging for us in this area.

Still should ultimately make a run for 3-6" when it's all said and done. EDIT: And things aren't that bad here (with snow only remaining on the roofs). Snow has covered the trees and cars, but pavements are still wet and grass tips are still showing. Still less than 1" of snow though.

Stebo
Yeah its 1.5 here all on the grass and cars, nothing on the roads though. It is starting to snow again though so that should change soon.

Models are in high agreement that it is going to be ripping very soon.
