hawkeye_wx
I just measured 3.5 inches, which means I've only received 1 inch over the last 2 3/4 hours. The snow rate just hasn't been there for us.
Hoosier
This storm would've been a tree apocalypse a few weeks ago for you guys up north. Good thing the trees are mostly bare.

Geos
Lake effect signal is very evident. Yeah two weeks ago there would have been tree limbs down and power outages for sure. Snow calmed down a little, still going at a good clip though. Banding pushing into Milwaukee now.

SchaumburgStormer
Looks like a bit of a lull until the main line gets cranking. Sounds like an underwhelming amount of snow thus far for those that missed the death band. Looks like the south burbs flopped back to rain. Hoosier
It'll be interesting to see if it tries to mix with rain here during the day as winds once again turn more onshore. Forecast soundings would suggest it's unlikely but nothing would surprise me at this point.

Justin
Dried up here again. Dynamics depicted on model data here were just flat out wrong, no other way to say it. 4" here so far with maybe another 2-3" I'll guess.

SchaumburgStormer
A little off topic, but what is this "Precip D" mode you're rocking in RadarScope and how do I get my hands on it? Precipitation depiction, and I think it was added in once I linked my Allisonhouse account (which my wife thought was a porn subscription when she saw it on the credit card) or got radarscope pro. Don't remember which.

LansingWeather
Very fine flakes finally started here at 3:29am. Really didn't take much to reach the ground which I find surprising. The DP was 16 earlier and it started snowing under 8DBz. Very nice, usually takes hours.

Chicago WX
Congrats to those who cashed in on the death band snows. Pretty impressive. Much to do about nothing here. Just a meager covering on the grass, roofs, etc. Models did a good job in showing a QPF hole for IKK. Currently a steady light snow. Nice to see flakes again though.
