A-L-E-K
Just changed over. Coating on the grass, and the cars. Nothing on the roads or the sidewalks. It should change back when we get heavier bands over us, but in the subsidence it's rain here. returns filled in down there, did it flip back to snow? still all snow here
homedis
fgen band has peaked, hanging on to decent returns before the main show lights up later will be key Yeah you're right on the edge... think you'll end up being fine.
Hoosier
Not sure how accurate this is, but it does at least show some rain/mixing where I'm at in northern Lake county. Winds are kinda more NNE right now but supposed to become more E/ENE overnight.
mimillman
returns filled in down there, did it flip back to snow? still all snow here It's a mix, probably 80% rain, 20% snow.

It should change back when we get heavier bands over us, but in the subsidence it's rain here. Weird. Winter radar is only showing a mix of rain over towards Gary and Hammond. No wind here at all. Flakes falling straight down.

Thundersnow12
If you look at the Iowa State meteogram site and ORD snowfall, LOT is forecasting 12" on the nose. That would tie the record
Geos
Records in jeopardy. If ORD doesn't hit #1, I bet it gets #2. Rockford broke #1 tonight, right?

brianc400
Hawkeye's brother here in Hawthorn Woods IL. 1.5" at 8:30pm 8.0" at 10pm. 10.0" at 11:10. The snowfall rate was really incredible for a couple hours there. It reminds me somewhat of the storm a few years back where we got close to 15" here, blowing well past expectations.
