homedis
Wow. If anything of this caliber actually verifies, it would definitely be one for the record books. Still think its maybe a little too far north in EMCFW but we'll see.
HillsdaleMIWeather
I'm assuming the morning AFDs are gonna be: UNCERTAINTY, because of the suite.
cyclone77
Euro would be a classic Madison jackpot with a dash of Dubuque thrown in as well lol.
homedis
I mean I think although it is uncertain, we can confidently say it will snow at one point in N IL/S Wisco with totals possibly reaching a foot (being very generous)
homedis
Euro would be a classic Madison jackpot with a dash of Dubuque thrown in as well lol.Oh yeah Madison gets SLAMMED in the EMCFW. The highest totals are right over there.

chasmosnow
http://i.imgur.com/eiQVefol.jpg For you all. Id assume a slight south trend could occur. Talk about eye canday! If the euro forecasts it has to happen right? Will be interesting to see if the folks at Sullivan, MKE weather office, jump on this.Up till now You would barely know via their discussions there was a significant snow threat.Still a long ways to go and lots of model runs till friday morning dawns. RyanDe680
GFS has this moving a lot faster than the Euro, at least out of the MI area. Explains the higher Euro totals.

HillsdaleMIWeather
12Z NAM went way south, looks like GFS from before shifts.
Geos
EURO control run looks like it is a bit further SE than the one map posted early this morning.
Chitown Storm
12z NAM going for a bigger run, still north. Northern IA, SW Wisconsin and extreme southern MN do well.
TugHillMatt
I think it's looking good for us, Geos. North or south, our area stills gets several inches. Averaging the tracks of all the models puts us about in the target zone.
wisconsinwx
12Z NAM went way south, looks like GFS from before shifts. It still looks a bit disjointed with surface features vs the snow/precip swath, but not as unrealistic as some of the previous runs.
HillsdaleMIWeather
I have a feeling the GFS will come way south with the snow, that 0Z run made local mets laugh.

A-L-E-K
GFS slightly stronger. it's a much nicer system at 850 than previous runs, SLP still janky slower seems to be a theme
wisconsinwx
Now the GFS has basically swapped placement with GEM and especially the Euro. I would never have predicted that to happen in the space of 24 hours. Edit: this is when comparing the 12z GFS to the 0z GEM and Euro. Who knows what the 12z editions of those models will bring.
