we've had a hard time shaking that persistent eastern lakes trough, i don't see any reason to toss it

Only in the short term have we had the eastern trough, we had 2 months of western trough and warmth in the east this winter. I mean we will see but I don't take day 10 op euro maps to have much value.

:yikes: famous last words.  Who exactly is controlling the justice system in weather world?   I'd like to know so I can submit my bribe, (or blackmail).

Haha, yeah you're probably right.  I should have kept my mouth shut.  Err, I mean my keyboard unplugged.

Lol at all of you ready for spring. You know what's going to happen. Monster spread the wealth snowstorm in March.

I was actually joking about that at work the other day.  Watch us have bookend snowstorms.  One in Nov, and one in March/April, with jack squat during the heart of the winter.  :lmao:

Yeah it's gonna be nice.  With mid 30s tomorrow and Wed we'll likely be mostly bare by Thursday.  Should be able to warm up unimpeded beyond that.  You can bet that southwest IA will tag 70 Thursday.  I'm hoping we can somehow make 60 on Friday, but anything above 50 is gonna feel awesome after the recent arctic blast.

I'll set the over/under for Shenandoah Iowa for 71 on Thursday.

Point up to 69 there now.
