colonel717
Looks like double barrel low with good positioning on EURO. We get a few inches before the coastal takes over. Eastern nj up thru mass/Boston is the jackpot on the euro 12z

Rd9108
Well looking at the NAM. The clipper looks like 1-2 with one being more likely. The shortwaves are all over the place next weekend. Someone just tells me we get screwed. Whats our least snowiest winter because even with a ripe pattern it doesnt want to snow.

north pgh
Snow has really picked up again. Nice coating. Now if we can get 100 more coatings we can crack our average winter.

Looks like a brief shot at 20-30dbz returns on radar. Would be great to pick up an inch out of it.

jwilson
I guess on the bright side, a snow of 1-3" on Tuesday would set the record for biggest snowfall in 2016 (at least for most of us).

At this point, more than a half inch will set the record for most of us so far.

KPITSnow
Not even going to argue with you. The map NWS put out says 2-3. The point and the point and click lines up with it. colonel717
Found this on southeast thread. This looks promising for weekend. EUR Para model. Looks like WPa has focus of heavier snow
RitualOfTheTrout
Found this on southeast thread. This looks promising for weekend. EUR Para model. Looks like WPa has focus of heavier snow That's not showing accumulated snowfall, its an upper air, 500 vort I believe although I'm not familiar with SV maps. That being said I have saw other posters with access to the para Euro saying it was better looking for snow than other models.
Mailman
GFS isn't looking very promising if you're looking for big snow. Not even any fantasy storms. We get hit with a clipper or two, but the bigger storms are lake cutters.
RitualOfTheTrout
Both 12z GFS and NAM showing between .1 and .15 total qpf for kpit and kagc with ratios around 15:1 for the upcoming clipper. I think most of us will average between 1 and 2 inches. The weenie in me hopes for an over performance and we get 2-4! What a lousy winter thus far lol. Probably not worth even discussing in much detail until about Wednesday. Maybe we can get that trough to stay a bit more positively tilted until it makes it further east. The models suck and this winter sucks. Hopefully once this clipper rolls through we can get some better solutions. It seems that the pacific jet is just murdering our chances of snow. Keep in mind that the weekend storm will change after this clipper goes by. One thing I noticed on the 12Z GFS is that the weekend storm is trending farther east. We may start as rain but we will have to watch things closely especially with a storm on the coast.
