Rd9108
13Z HRRR came slightly north with heavy band. I don't even really know if I want that band. I'm going to the Pens game. That would be a nightmare.

Well, I want it as I am watching the Pens game at home... Plus gotta take the snow while we can. No guarantees with next week.

Don't get me wrong. I've always wanted to experience a heavy squall line so if it happens it's not the end of the world. But who am I kidding, I'm a weenie anyway so I'll take all the snow I can get. RitualOfTheTrout
6z Para likes the big storm idea, but its a bit slower, and the cold is gone. Probably partially causing the issue is the shortwave in the lakes. This would be our luck, nice track, qpf bulls eye, but no cold air!
ChalkHillSnowNut
14z HRRR going North. looks like you guys a little more towards the city and north are gonna cash in!! That's looking sweet for you all-enjoy!!

colonel717
15z HRRR. I thought it would continue north based on PBZ discussion targeting north of city but heavy squall line drops south.

Rd9108
GEFS actually shows some really good hits. Everyone calm down and don't freak out over 5 day out OP runs. This includes myself.

RitualOfTheTrout
Hard to tell for sure off the 500mb 24 hours maps, but I think this would be a favorable track for us?
colonel717
EURO takes a good path for our area, but temps may be an issue for parts of the storm
Rd9108
EURO honestly is better than 0z even though it's more of a Youngstown special.

RitualOfTheTrout
Temp are an issue but not bad Its has the look of a classic SWPA slop storm this run. I'd be leery of snow maps in a marginal temperature situation, although I thought I heard wxBell maps no longer count sleet as snow but could be wrong. To bad we don't have a high pressure to the North to funnel in some cold air, fortunately at 6 days out this is likely not the final solution. When there is a high it always pushes to the coast and we still get the shaft,
Rd9108
It's just another solution in the hundreds of others that are being shown. There should be some good hits on the Euro Ensembles.
