Question, so they just added all of Westmoreland to the warning, but only listed a couple cities, so are those the only ones really effected? I've always wondered this when they issue a warning and list the cities. I mean looking at radar Greensburg is getting hit pretty good, but the returns really look like they are struggling to make it much further north than that.

I think they only list the 'major' towns in those counties.

For Pittsburgh South, I am feeling pretty good. Radar is filling in very nicely to the south, and after a short lull around the city, looks like heavier returns should push back north. Morgantown is reporting heavy snow, brownsville is getting hit pretty well from mailman. Obviously I doubt we get the heavy heavy stuff they are getting down there, but I would guess it pushes at least moderate rates up here.

PBZ:

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH SATURDAY/...
GIVEN SNOW AMOUNTS ARE ALREADY NEARING 5" ADDED WASHINGTON AND
WESTERN WESTMORELAND TO THE WINTER STORM WARNING. ALLEGHENY IS
TOUGH CALL BUT GIVEN THERE WILL BE A LARGE GRADIENT ACROSS THE
COUNTY FROM SOUTH PARK TO THE NORTH HILLS OPTED NOT TO HOIST A
WARNING. AREA OF MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW CONTINUES TO MOVE EAST OUT
OF NORTH CENTRAL WV AND THIS WILL BRING A FEW MORE INCHES TO THE
AFOREMENTIONED COUNTY PUTTING THEM OVER THE CRITERIA FOR A 12 HOUR
WINTER STORM WARNING /6" IN 12 HOURS/. PREVIOUS DISCUSSION

Just got back from Youngstown. Completely dry all the way down the turnpike until light snow falling in cranberry. My drive in through Wexford down to home got worse. Probably about .75 here. Side roads are snow covered and main roads are salted and wet or slushy. Right now not pushing North of Allegh. Co. but surprisingly coming down harder here than I expected, Like we all said if we can get a 25-50 mile push north we can all add on a bit, Glad to see the high totals already in the South.

Radar looks awesome! Filling in with 20-25 DBZ returns. Moderate snow here in Bellevue.

Looking good, I was skeptical those returns would make it this far north. I'm getting moderate snow now and closing in on half an inch. I can see the wind gusting on occasion too. I hope we can stay like this for a couple hours.

There is a ton of moisture streaming up from WV. The fact it didn't get sheared apart in the first place and pushed this far north would make me think that it should continue to snow at a moderate clip in our area.
