RitualOfTheTrout
Encouraging signs so far. Hopefully we can build on these improvements and not lose any of the ground gained thus far in the other models and subsequent runs tomorrow.
colonel717
You know, at least it feels good for once that we don't have to worry about any mixing issues. That is a worry now for mid-atlantic areas

RitualOfTheTrout
Judging from the Black and White GGEM maps I think it looks further North too, similar to NAM & GFS.

passmaster16
Was the Jan 96 setup similar to this one? Even if all the models come to agreement I'm still concerned about this sharp cutoff.

Stinkbugspecialist
West Mifflin is in a great place for this storm Hey any word on any other forums on why and what they think about some north movements on these nightime model runs?
passmaster16
Well I agree that those of us in southern agc might be in better shape if things played out as modeled, but I also know there's been cases like this where the storm just doesn't get as far north as modeled. I would like to see everybody cash in on this one as its been a while!
KPITSnow
Well, I would say that if things hold at 6z KPIT will need to issue watches up to AGC. At the very least, the models give AGC a pretty decent 4-8 inch event, with a foot possible in the SE part of the county. Can always backdown to an advisory if need be too. Brownsville, I think you are going to get smashed....a foot plus is looking more and more likely down your way.

Waiting on the 0z Euro before I start getting a little more inclined to bump up my 6-8" projection for here. The rest of the 0z suite did look quite promising, though. I shall wait on "The King." north pgh
Good trends to get us back in the game. Remember we are still 2 days away. If it stays where it is at I am ok with it. If it moves any further north it will be better. I know in Jan 1996 the airport received 9.6 inches. I was over in Westmoreland Co and got about 18 inches. This storm may not be that high but may be a similar spread. Not staying up either but lets hope tomorrow brings at least the same.
Burghblizz
Could be a Mon Valley special... This still reminds me most of Feb 2010. That tight cutoff is no big deal when its north of u
blackngoldrules
From what I'm seeing, very little change with the 0z Euro compared to the 12z run. I guess we have to hope that "King Euro" won't be king on this one.

Jen16226
It's nice to wake up and see it moved more to the north......hopefully that continues just a little bit more. There is a cut off at the bottom of Armstrong and I would really love for that to move up to I80.

Since last night, models have moved south even the NAM.Yeah, the NAM is still a very good hit in Allegheny County, but it's the NAM and we know how the NAM can be more juiced up than the others. The GFS looks like crap again. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
