Rd9108
Remember.. the trend is our friend. The good old NW trend. I am just sick of the midatlantic complaining all the time when they get hit with bigger storms than us more often. For gods sake they got 4 feet of snow in two storms. RitualOfTheTrout
Remember.. the trend is our friend. Well it is actually, 12z Euro didn't have any precip really into our area, now probably a general 3-5.It's going to be hard to get bigger totals here than C-PA and areas east because they also get slammed by coastal, where as we are more dependent on the primary from what I can see. Would be great is the secondary could ride up inland east of the Apps . At least we got a legitimate threat that isn't falling apart (yet) as we get closer in time. RitualOfTheTrout
Looks like a penis Wow, I'd take that... er I mean I'll ride that er geez... lol So many ways replying to this post could go wrong using the typcial one liners to denote acceptance of a map lol But really, 00z Para Euro is pretty close to the 12z CMC with snow totals. 06z Para GFS looks decent and so does the 12z OP. Gonna be a long week, but wouldn't it be great it things just kept getting a little better with each run?

colonel717
If the Steelers lose at least we'll have this storm to follow....If Steelers win we can focus on storm until the game. Its a win/win...Just hope we dont get shafted...It would be hard to take at this point being so excited for the possibility...

colonel717
This is like weather porn I just hate to get excited just yet. I remember several storms last year with all around model agreement that didn't come to fruition. Am waiting for the first model to sniff out and lose the storm...When and if that happens. It wont be sampled until midweek.
RitualOfTheTrout
The model that gave us the least snow just shifted to 2 feet Looks pretty similar to the 00z Para minus the ridiculous 40 inch total in CPA.
dj3
That snow map is so similar to 2010. We had the second max stripe over us due to the weakening primary

Sure is fun to have something like this showing up though!

We had the second max stripe over us due to the weakening primary That 2010 storm we weren't supposed to get much until last minute. I don't recall anything predicted like this in advance of that storm. I didn't get to enjoy that one. That Friday night of the storm I went to a weekend church retreat. And was there all weekend. I was in South Side where they couldn't get the roads cleaned. My wife had to shovel and got injured and said I can never leave her on a weekend during winter again.. Not serious at all Whats so crazy about our seasonal average in one storm! lol What algorithm do those EuroWx maps use to calculate snowfall? Since I think they permit subscribers to redistribute the snow maps they probably use something that purposely generates those outrageous totals for free advertisement
