Solak
OK Experts, I just took these 2 photos. Obviously a Woolly Bear, and one of several Azalea buds getting ready to open. Translate these into a Winter forecast for me, please.
jburns
I always have a few azalea buds that open in the fall. In fact, I have some at the moment. No significance there. As for the wooly, it depends on the taste. Go for it and report back.

Snowless in Carrollton
It looks like western Kansas is getting hammered with snow and wind. I think this is their second blizzard this month. If you like extreme weather, I can't think of any better state to live in than Kansas. Blizzards, tornadoes, they get it all ( except for hurricanes of course )
Cold Rain
Is it unusual to see this much snow for the central US this early in the season? I would guess it is, but I don't follow their weather, so I don't really know.

NRVwxfan.
Keep in mid that Denver's airport is well east of the city on the high praire. The mountains west of Denver always get socked alot harder.
downeastnc
Keep in mid that Denver's airport is well east of the city on the high praire. The mountains west of Denver always get socked alot harder. It was a bit backwards this time though, the flatter high plains S and E of Denver got hammered much harder than the NW/ W and more mountainous side did.....the low was south of forecast by a good 100 miles, which also most likely enhanced the tornado outbreak they had last night that was well above the thinking going into the afternoon yesterday. Snowless in Carrollton
I cant believe UNC is ranked #17. They are not getting a lot of respect. If they win out and beat Clemson they deserve to be in the top 4.
