dailylurker
Pretty warm and humid out. Sounds and feels like deep summer. Kinda weird seeing all the trees loose 70% of their foliage when it's 80 degrees. Deep summer night. Temp 67!

The chemical reactions involved in severing the leaf to the tree progress more rapidly when it is warm.
WxUSAF
There was a report about climate change impacting the frequency of that this week. I think., In 2050, we'll be waxing our mailboxes every week.

CAPE
GFS and euro have come around to a more impactful little coastal on Tuesday. Yup looks like maybe an inch for here, with a pretty tight gradient as you go NW. Hope to see this sort of coastal track repeat as we get into the colder months

Ian
Front just getting to me south of JAX. Fun fact it took almost exactly 24 hours to get from DC to here. Was knocking on DCA door as I took off at 945a yesterday. Not so fun fact it was 86/73 while we were moving stuff yesterday afternoon.
Ian
Brutal conditions to move stuff. I'm always always moving stuff when it's a blowtorch out. Are you leaving us? No my dad is moving back to CT. I helped him pack up a pod and we are driving his car and dog north now.

mattie g
Picked up more leaves, pulled the tomato plants, and planted garlic. Awesome day for garden work! Strangely enough, despite the freeze a few weeks ago, my tomato and pepper plants were hardly affected at all. In fact, my anaheims and jalapeños are still flowering and the peppers on them are going gangbusters!

smokeybandit
What a perfect November day. 17 bags of leaves later... My leaf mulcher got a workout today, much to the chagrin of my son who wondered why I was taking away his leaf piles.
nw baltimore wx
Picked up more leaves, pulled the tomato plants, and planted garlic. Awesome day for garden work! Strangely enough, despite the freeze a few weeks ago, my tomato and pepper plants were hardly affected at all. In fact, my anaheims and jalapeños are still flowering and the peppers on them are going gangbusters! I'm going out now to pick the peppers. We've got a ton of them and they'd probably go awhile longer but I need the space to get rid of all the leaves.
