Power washed the last side of the house. 68 and bright sunshine is the perfect day for it...and the siding really needed it! That side faces NNW and has trees to the west, so it gets virtually no sun at all, making for perfect conditions for mold. Thought I could get by until spring, but no such luck. Glad to be done with it!

EXPECT PERIODS OF LIGHT TO MODERATE RAINFALL ACROSS THE REGION OVER THE NEXT COUPLE HOURS. RAINFALL RATES WILL BE MAXIMIZED ACROSS THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS...AND EAST OF I-95...WHERE PONDING OF WATER WILL OCCUR IN LOW LYING AND POOR DRAINAGE AREAS. TEMPERATURES WILL REMAIN FAIRLY STEADY STATE IN THE LOWER TO MID 60S...ALONG WITH MODERATE SOUTHEASTERLY SURFACE WINDS GUSTING UP TO 24 MPH AT TIMES.

Incredibly, 6 months later and I'm just now catching up to the amount of rain some areas received in the month of June alone.

This morning busted for sure, but the NAM nest and HRRR both show a lot of redevelopment over the next few hours, although they admittedly soak the east side of DC better than the west side.

What a bust...   only .04" since midnight?  See a little development on the radar that may give a smidgen more, but hardly the 3/4 - 1" they were forecasting.  Sure hope this is not an omen of things to come....

Yea - see the radar trying to fill in.  It appears to be rather disorganized at best and perhaps lacking the lift necessary to pull together anything worthwhile, especially west of DC.  Interesting how fast this fell apart given the intensity of the line last night.  Yet this AM NC is getting soaked - where they least need it after last month's flooding.
