WxDanny
Hello everyone, wanted to post about a busier pattern progged to occur starting this week toward the first week of November. I have been a long time lurker, but do most of my postings on the Lakes/OH sub forum. Getting down to business, the GFS/Euro have advertised an amplified flow ejecting out into the plains, midwest, lakes for several runs now. May be something to keep an eye on.... At the very least it will be something to talk about. P.S. - looks like Spring
nrgjeff
If we can avoid the positive tilt surging CF trough, it looks interesting. Negative tilt, even with some lead precip, would include severe weather. Yes it does have an early spring look. Well 594 is high, but the trough has good jet energy. WxDanny
It appears there may be more western US troughing coming along soon, but it's hard to tell at this point if any of those troughs are going to result in any sort of severe weather potential. As of yesterday, (haven't looked too hard at it today) the CFSv2 showed a tendency for negative h5 height anomalies across the eastern Pacific by week 3 and persisting throughout the 3-6 week period. However, it also shows cold anomalies at 850 mb across the southern and central Plains during the same time period. Something to continue to monitor.
