WinterWolf
hes panic stricken over a 9 day forecast that will change , and who cares. A warm turkey day is great for the family time, get the kids outside . Who wants everyone huddled inside. if there was snow on the ground different story, but things are progressing according to plan. Silly to talk about really. I mean the 11-15 is silly cold but cmon, GFS really? Scooter trolling Kevin is always something If Im not mistaken, the GFS and other modeling a week ago today, had very warm temps forecast for today and the rest of this week. How did that turn out? I agree with you that it will change for sure. Good post.
HIPPYVALLEY
interestingly enough we cut the week before or have live trees we donate after but nice try. that's how we roll too.

CoastalWx
Anyways, you expect that as the initial surge of arctic air always flows south when you have a +NAO. Gradually it oozes and shifts east as the ridge slowly moves east from AK.
J Paul Gordon
65-70 on Thanksgiving? Is that Kevin's personal forecast or am I missing some big news today? Not that I doubt for a moment that there will be no subfreezing highs this winter and that the few flakes of snow will be rapidly superseded by warm rains and high dewpoints. ORH_wxman
Blaze Friday? That is epic cold out west. westcold.png We kind of stay closer to normal on that due to the bootleg airmass from the Nova Scotia high pressure nosing back into NE with some onshore flow...SYR/BUF is prob like 60-65F while we are 50F. Damage In Tolland
Hopefully that doesn't happen like that. With that look the cold doesn't have a way to get east. Probably another day or 2 till the models pick up on the recurving typhoons and move away from that big western trough and center it more Midwest/east
Ginx snewx
Socked in clouds brought in from the huge ocean gyre sitting off the SE Coat, manky weather typical of late Novie, seasons in seasons, beware the pretty red colors

I hope we keep this look for December, lol...I think we'd end up pretty good. Maybe ease the SW trough just a tad...but it would remind me of some of those setups in Dec 2007 and Dec 2008.
