Does he weight less than 5lbs? Some ponds here had skim cover. All a dream tomorrow.

He's a pretty solid 3rd grader. The water he was on is pretty shallow. A mile from my house. He did not break through but if he did it would only go up to his ankles or knees

Several ponds near me had ice. A friend of ours posted a pic of their son skating on a shallow pond in their back woods

A better question would be "did he have a life jacket on?"

I can't imagine any pond having more than .25" of ice on it in SNE.

He said pond not puddle.

It's all water under the bridge by Friday.

I'm ironing my cargo shorts tonight for the Black Friday yard raking.

I would still call it a small pond. Maybe a verbal pool?

The damaging drought has taken its toll.

Maybe 25 yards across when I saw it last year? Some parts are several feet deep

I would think this line of interrogation falls more into the "ball busting" realm than seriously questioning the accuracy of your report. lol

Finally, the anomalous event I would have been kicking myself for missing had I gone to Florida has arrived.  The great high pressure of 2015.

Ginxy really should've posted about it in the "Dec 2015 - one of the greats" thread.

I was too infuriated to comment about jorts. How can people not remember former Kentucky Wildcat Josh "Jorts" Harrellson?! So nicknamed because of his affinity for wearing jorts as recently as 2011. While jorts may not be in style with the fashion mavens and global trendsetters of central northeast Connecticut, they remain a vital clothing option for honest, hardworking, true Americans!

What a year.  Generations from now they'll still remember:

The Boston Snow PIle

The November High Pressure

Connecticut's Biblical Drought
