models did a nice job of forecasting the Thanksgiving day warmth 10 days out.   Beautiful day to take a post turkey walk.   Should hit 60 if not more. :sun:

oh, and Happy Thanksgiving back at you all.

Just finished Thanksgiving dinner and am now leaving to do some fishing for one last time this year. Might as well take advantage of 60° temps.

That's incredible. Looking at the models there won't be any snow cover left way at up into South Central Canada by the end of the first week of December.

The gem shows a heat pulse coming off the Rockies in freaking December.

This is retarded warmth from our cold source.

And the arctic air isn't coming anywhere near us.

GFS and Euro are close to going full downslope over 2/3rds of Canada.

Here's another.  It just keeps getting more crazy.  When is the last time you saw +16 850's in Canada?....rare to see in summer much less December.

Nice pics bo. Looks almost like it did here last weekend. That's some ugly red in Canada in early December but 850s don't melt snow, surface temps do. I'm not really worried about the first 3 weeks of December. Busy as hell, had a snowstorm to tide me over, & above all else...December has been looking crappy for a while now, so it's expected. Just hoping this timimg bodes well for a shot of snow and cold Christmas weeks. Family friends from TX are coming up between christmas and new years and they have drooled over snow pics I've posted the last few years. They want to see snow so bad. They will have a breakdown if they do not get to see snow when they are up here

Beginning to sounds like shorts weather is coming next month!  :P

All the rain from the last 30 hours or so has pushed the November total up to 4.95". Last time it was this wet was in 2003 with 4.87" for the month.

Nice snow and lighted tree Bo. Finishing putting up lights today.

Can't say this month has been boring! Wet and mild overall with a historical snowstorm mixed into it.

Had a couple spells of snow and sleet late in the day. Didn't really amount to anything. Running with a 5.5° degree departure right now.

+2.6 at this point. Been as warm as 74 (2nd) and as low as 5 above (22nd).

DTW hasn't been as active, but I cannot complain as Nov 21st was one of the most scenic snowstorms you will ever see. But we are running at about +5F, have been as high as 77 and as low as 20 (typical overcast ruined a further drop), & I can't think of any other outstanding features other than the early month warm spell and the snowstorm. It was windy a few days but not as extreme as I was expecting.

Maybe not as active around here than other parts of the subforum, but it was about as good as it gets for the month of November.

Several very windy days, record and near-record high temp days, a couple of good soakers, a very nice November snow, and several days of beautiful fall weather. The only thing missing was some severe, which was confined to the western part of the sub.

Definitely more exciting than the past few months.

To be fair though, you're setting yourself up for disappointment if you'er expecting severe weather at our latitude/longitude in November.
