BuffaloWeather
Thanks Buffalo!!! I'm about 3 miles south of the band. Tight convergence going on.... It's looking really nice. Drifting slightly south, so hopefully you get in on the action soon as the band is expanding as well.

Syrmax
Sun is out here in Bayberry...few flakes! That's nuts. Radar looks like you would be getting it also. FWIW AFDs mentioning a bit of a southward move this afternoon/eve... Though it always seems that models have lake bands too far south off of Lake Ontario. We shall see. coh
Been watching that band slowly inch southward. We're just on the edge now, can still see blue sky out to the south but we're getting light to occasionally moderate snow. Hope the trend continues. Buffalo Bumble
8 inches new just west of Fulton. For those that know the area, it's clear at Battle Island, about 2 miles northeast of my location. Been fluctuating here between 2 and 3"/ hr. CNY_WX
The visibility is down to 100 yards.
LakeEffectKing
That's nuts. Radar looks like you would be getting it also. FWIW AFDs mentioning a bit of a southward move this afternoon/eve... Though it always seems that models have lake bands too far south off of Lake Ontario. We shall see. Remember, the radar is shooting quite a ways up into the column....those returns you see over me are falling "into" the convergence centerline, thus the flakes over me at 1500' are ending up on the ground a few miles to my north....it's what makes the "miracle" of LES intensities!!! All the flakes that form "want" to fall in one area....the center of the band!!
coh
Heavy snow, visibility less than 1/8 mile. Would be nice if this lasted a while.
coh
Wonder if those are little low pressure waves running along the band...interesting to watch. Something has definitely disrupted the band here in western Monroe as the snow has almost stopped and sun has been dimly visible.
CNY_WX
Another 3 inches in the past hour. That's 6 inches in 2 hours, about 8 since last night. Still S++.
CNY_WX
The band shows little sign of moving south. If anything it has reorganized further north over the center of Lake Ontario.

dutch
so many forecasts had me in the sweet spot down here in madison county, 18+ or so. the band was here for a short while this am, but has since settled in north of us, just came across this webcam in sylvan beach.. looks like it's hammer time there! i don't know how to capture some of the video, but right now it's S++
rochesterdave
Snow of varying intensity in Irondequoit (N Rochester) since 8am. Visibility from 1/4 mile to 5 miles within minutes. About 2" of new snow. Let's see if we can get a little more NW component. NWS has slashed fcst totals in txt fcst.
Revracer800
Foot+ here in Hannibal today. Just came from oswego and the road home closer to hannibal was down right scary. Last 5 miles couldn't see the front of the truck. Hardly anything in and around oswego.
coh
And just like that, the main band has pushed south and the sun is out again. These events are always so interesting to watch, but usually very frustrating here in western Monroe. Then again, I won't have to dig my driveway out from 30" of snow... Last 5 miles couldn't see the front of the truck. Hardly anything in and around Oswego. Glad you posted, I expected over a foot in Hannibal by now as the heaviest part of the band has been right over your area.
Buffalo Bumble
Just passed 12 inches. It's been alternating between "only" 1"/hr and bursts of 3"/hr every 15 minutes or so for the last couple hours.
DeltaT13
Monroe can never lock in with these WNW events. It's a lost cause, same as it ever was.
