lakeeffectkid383
How about going east to Boonville or the Turin area?I'm open to it, I just prefer the Redfield area. Can't the Boonville/Turin area get downsloped a little being on the east side of the Tug? I know Lowville can and does somewhat frequently. Buffalo Bumble
Man, what I wouldn't give to set up shop in a cabin in Montague or Osceola for the next few days. CNY-LES FREAK
Got so sick of seeing Bombs go by to our S and E all the damn time, I decided to buy a home in ME as well so now I have the best of both worlds, lol!! Just 15 miles S of Portland ME, a perfect location to see true bombogenesis in the GOM. A home in Oswego County as well, in the Southern snow belt, which will get pounded tues-wed and again Fri-Sun. So I get to experience tues-wed 6-8" up here in ME, then I head to Oswego County where next weekend should be a treat!

Can't the Boonville/Turin area get downsloped a little being on the east side of the Tug? I know Lowville can and does somewhat frequently. Enjoy Maine, long drive but a good spot for synoptic snow...not looking like much going on here this week other than passing snow showers, although your place in Oswego county may score several inches later this week. It appears the action will be mostly from Parish north and east, sled country. They can have it!

AppsRunner
BUF shifts significantly north for the first event. Barnes Corners/Lowville jackpot. Second event probably will produce higher totals somewhere. Still feeling confident that somewhere sees 40" from this first event. If I had to bet it would be somewhere near Barnes Corners on the Tug (Route 177 corridor)
Polarbear
Really pumped for this event off Ontario. Gonna try and chase this one later this week into this weekend (I know most of it will be over by then) but I'm having trouble finding may spots on the Tug to stay, particularly around Redfield. When I chased last month I stayed in Pulaski which was nice because they have amenities within walking distance of the hotel, however I wasn't in the bullseye being at a lower elevation , with the Tug 30 miles east seeing triple the amount I saw, but for this one Id love to be in the thick of the event near Redfield. Anyone know of any spots I could stay this weekend? Hotel, cabin, private house? Thanks in advance for any responses. There's the otter limits and nook motel. I stayed there snowmobiling 15 yrs ago, worked perfect for what we wanted. There is a gas station/ food here to. There use to be a hotel/bar just up the rd but that burned several yes ago but I think there is still one other place for food between those 2, but I can't remember. Just up the rd is the crossroads inn/ cabins. No experience but can't recall ever reading bad info. There was a place called fort geranimo yrs ago idk if that place is still going or what. These places are all within prolly 1.5-2miles of each other... I'll go find my maps and see what else is in the area... Be advised, if the weather is bad getting to redfield could be quite a task. That county rt 2 is curvy and has up/ downs along it. Trees are right on the edge and there's little in the way of a shoulder.

danno
Webcam from this afternoon. Pretty much starting over at camp. This is pretty much right in the cross hairs on the Tug in Redfield. Though just reading the Buffalo update, late week event is not going to be stationary and winds may be too NW for a Tug special?
