Air conditioning on Tuesday and now a fire in the wood stove. Big changes

Temp 46.7 and raw out there

 

Ditto about the AC earlier in the week for the steamy soup and just now I had to pull out the electric heaters.  Currently have wind-whipped rain and a temp 49.0 F. and I hope it doesn't drop any further.  Raw is not a strong enough word for it.  :shiver:

Thursday-Friday total rain 1.79". Peak wind gust NE63mph@11:08pm. Wind noticeably stronger from late afternoon on on Friday. Probably saw good half dozen gusts in the 50+mph range.Wow.

 

Impressive!

 

So far, with some heavier rain moving through this morning, we're up to 0.56" here. Temp is a very raw 45 degrees.

Rainfall so far today here in East Nantmeal = 0.37"

MTD at 2.01"

Rainfall last 5 days at 3.73"

YTD rain at 36.46" which is now just 0.46" below normal

Current temp here is 48.3 at my place in Sea Isle City the station is reporting a temp of 60.7 with a NE wind gusting to 47 mph - high gust today was 49mph and 51mph yesterday!

 

High gust here in East Nantmeal Chesco County just 22mph

Simply incredible what's going on in SC this weekend. That rain plume looks like a lake-effect snow band from hell!

 

Back home I've had more than 4" of rain this past week. There's an area of my yard that usually floods out when we get heavy rains. Not this time ... it's been so dry the ground absorbed the rain like a sponge. I don't think it's even muddy out there this morning.
