Hvward
Already raining at my house in Asheville and looks like others are getting in on the action also as the ULL slowly makes it way into the area. Should be the beginning of a very interesting weekend ahead.
WNC_Fort
Should be quite an event here in the mountains and foothills, if things work out the right way. Started out with some rain showers this morning but for right now it is just cloudy and 68.
burrel2
I've picked up .90 inches in the last 2 hours and it's still pouring. Some area's of the upstate received 3 inches last night and are getting hit again today. Edit: My weather station just said my rain rate was 4.03 inches per hour... up to 1.07 inches now. Sunny and Warm
I received 3.46" in just over an hour. At one point got 1.7" in 17 minutes with 6"/hr rates. The atmosphere is an absolute soup, and any rain you get will be torrential. Based on my very brief experience already, 20" will find someone. burrel2
I was going to drive around and look at the flash flood damage. I got stopped on my subidivision road by a submerged bridge inundated with 2ft of flowing water... I've never seen that bridge flooded before. But don't worry...soon, we'll be tracking mid-Atlantic, GSO, and PGV snowstorms.

She lives in Central,SC just a few miles from here... It seems to have gotten really bad in this localized area... I can't imagine what this weekend will be like. wow that's terrible and quite scary when you consider that's already happening and what's on the way. The radar says it should be raining but it's not. exact opposite here..it's raining with no returns. I've had several good showers this evening that showed up as almost nothing on radar. Considering how light the model output is this evening and how much rain is falling in these really efficient showers,it makes me really fear what's on the way. sparklecity
1.23" so far tonight. Discovered there is a gauge in a creek near my house and it went pretty crazy last night from the flood upstream. It went from 4 ft to almost 14 ft very quickly. Discharge was under 100 ft3/s to start and peaked at over 3000 ft3/s.
