Does anyone know the record for consecutive days of rain in the Raleigh area? I'm at 9, and I believe Isopycnic is at 10?

WRAL mentioned 10 days of measurable rain at RDU last night. Today makes 11 days at RDU? I know i missed out on some rain on the 21-23rd timeframe as well.

DAY 11 - We've already had measurable rain at RDU this morning, making today the eleventh consecutive rainy day, tying a record that's been achieved four times before, most recently in 1982.

As of 6am, we've had 7.65" over that 11-day stretch.

BTW, if we look at all the observations for this area going back to the late 1800s, the longest streak on record is 12 days. We'll likely break the RDU record and tie the Raleigh-area record tomorrow.

So, there's that.

Wind is howling this AM and if its this windy now I imagine once the sun gets up and we get a bit of mixing it will get even worse, the ULL looks stronger than modeled right now the model have it weakening finally today so we shall see, also hope it goes east as modeled and doesn't push that band of rain north over eastern NC

The 0z and 6z GFS have rain making it all the way back to the Triangle and north.  None of the other models have it thought.  Not sure what the GFS is thinking.

Simple. It's the remnant of hurricane Joaquin on its way to West Virginia.
