sctvman
Just a crazy time of weather in SC. Hard to believe just nine days ago we had the tornado on John's Island, and now all this flooding.
mackerel_sky
LOL, after today's debacle here, there is no way anyone receives 10" of rain, ain't happening. Max will be 6-8" and that may be high and very localized.Umm?

jshetley
This was delayed but not denied. Some thought that once 3pm yesterday came and only the Charleston area had been hit hard, that the worst was over. Then those very heavy rates in thunderstorms came and everything changed. The crazy totals shown on the models most of last week in SC are going to verify.
Amos83
Civil emergency for the entire state of SC now. Absolutely devastating,....
downeastnc
People who make defenitive statements when dealing with the weather often eat crow thats why I always try to use words like possibly and likely. There were a few times when it looked like the connection with Joaquin was going to get interrupted but the models had it right, inland areas were not going to see the worst till the ULL got more east and that's what happened....thankfully the models have backed off us for another 1-3 tonight as the band pulls north but SE NC is going to get it.... NCSNOW
As if the flash flooding and dam brakes haven't been bad enough. The river flooding that will follow is gonna be disastrous for the communities along the river basins throughout the low country of SC. Remember the foot of rain that fell up in boone this past week and everyone else's run off is heading that way along with the 20 inch runoff in the coastal plain of SC. burrel2
Looking at radar it seems that the Myrtle Beach area looks to be getting hit the hardest now. I imagine we will start getting catastrophic damage reports from that area soon...

downeastnc
Looks like new development offshore NC forming up headed west.....WV loop looks like it might be a bit more robust than models indicated yesterday, just reissued flood watch calling for up to 4" tonight....also had a gust to 38 on my handheld a few minutes ago heavy rain with this kind of wind should be fun.
