Yes sir. Ryan posted it on Twitter so I'll go ahead and post:

If that verifies, it would be interesting to compare the volume of water that falls on SC to the volume of water in one of the Great Lakes. Hoping someone thinks to look into this when it is done. Stay safe, everyone.

Not sure that GFS will verify. Seeing various model output of keeping the heavier biblical rains away from the central midlands or not happening as a whole. Not sure it really matters at this point. According to the GFS, we should be getting absolutely crushed imby right now and it's pretty calm... a big 7 inch + amount showed up between 2-8 am we will see... stronger band coming from the South of me currently.. heavy.

Hey Shawn,  good to see you are still up and at it with the weather in the midlands. I pray and hope the other model output is accurate and we don't see anything close to the near 25" totals you referenced.  It's just light rain here in  Columbia, downtown vicinity.

Yeah a place near Black Mountain has already confirmed like 23 inches in the past 6 days according to Jason Boyer and the NWS.

Can you share the post Jason did? I looked up the area using Contrail and the best i could find was 11" for the past 7 days, with most of the area only picking up 6 - 8". I want to share that bit of info but need to see it before i can post it.

I guess it is slower in the turn. Still not much for gsp but prayers for cola and Charlotte. Just wow.

We still have our share to come in western NC and upstate SC. Here is a map just released from GSP these are future totals not what already has fallen keep that in mind.

Thanks and not complaining. Looks like those totals are down about an inch imby.

Charleston to Columbia to Charlotte are just getting hammered.

already obtained 1.70" in two days. So, if this map stands, would put me around the 6"+ mark.

I got 0.71 yesterday and so far since 12:00am last night I'm up to 1.29nches. So I'm already at 2 inches if GSP is correct with that map should easily get 5-6inches total. For me that sounds great

This is going to be just an historic event here in Charleston. Charleston County has already had 3-7 inches with an additional 6-12 forecasted.. This really will be a life threatening event if people aren't smart. Use your heads folks and go to higher ground while you can and if you are safe at home..stay there. Hight tide here around 1:00pm so things will be going downhill quickly. Be safe out there.

Well....it seems as if the fire hose pointed at chs/cae/clt is doing its job  ;)    imby the bucket recorded .25 yesterday, 2.5 overnight and the drops are still falling  :D  Add that to last weeks total of 4" and now I need to cut the grass
