Royal River fun?

 

I found out it's actually the East Branch of the Piscataqua. The Royal River is farther north from this particular low water crossing.

Had no idea from which direction you commuted.  The typical Royal flush is where Rt 231 crosses it in New Gloucester, well north of GYX.

Yeah I head south on 231 back towards Portland. So I get the second 231 crossing of the Royal River just south of the office, but that section of the Piscataqua in Cumberland is becoming notorious for flooding. Almost lost sections of Route 9 in the August 2013 flash flooding, and probably would've again here if the rain had continued much longer.
