bluewave
Decent October cool down in about a week with the -EPO ridge and Eastern trough amplification. Ensembles have -5 to -10 daily departure potential around the peak of the cold for NYC.
SnoSki14
Feels very fall like now. I love a good October cool down so this should be interesting. I'm seeing lows in the 30s in the forecast for the first time since March/April.

Yup the city doesn't do well at all on light winds clear nights. Strong caa and windy nights help cool it better. Huge range , in the mid 40s in parts of western and south Staten Island . Near 50 in Brooklyn and queens. Regular stuff for us city dwellers.

Yup, as soon as the sun comes up it warms up very quick. Happens every time. Downright comfortable outside now here.
