IsentropicLift
I guess it's back to the borefest known as weather in the tri-state area lately. At least the HRRR is showing an additional 1-2" for the area through tonight.
ag3
Rain is definitely over-performing the models. The NYC/LI area is .40"-1" as of 3pm. Models like the Rgem only had about .50" through 8pm tonight with another .50"-.75" from 8pm tonight through tomorrow afternoon.

Have moderate rain falling with 20-30mph winds and occasional higher gusts to 35-40mph. Should get even heavier as we approach the evening. Rjay
Rain was light to moderate here during the morning. Been pretty much a steady moderate, occasionally heavy, occasionally wind driven rain falling since noon.

It has been pretty harsh here, winds have been sustained about 20 - 25mph most of the day with some gust pushing 35 - 40. alot of tree limbs down, just nasty out. Don't get me wrong, it's not sunny and 75 here. I have winds around 15-20 MPH with a wind driven light rain, temp right around 50 degrees. Something you would be more likely to see in early November rather than early October.

Juliancolton
Roadside/residential trees have picked up lots of yellows and oranges the past few days. The cloudy skies and rainfall work nicely to bring out the various colors... if you're looking you photograph the foliage, damp weather like this is miles better than sunny for natural saturation and contrast. As it is, it may be a bit late, although we're still 90% green here.

bluewave
You have to be a brave person to own one of Fire Island homes. It only takes a noreaster and high astronomical tides to erode your front yard. https://www.facebook.com/kevin.molloy.1276/videos/529098640579046/?pnref=story
