LongBeachSurfFreak
Except for 1997. The less we are like 97 the happier I will be. I'm going off the deep end if we have a repeat of that winter. If it wasn't for the last minute cheap March snow that would have been the least snowy of all time
Morris
Dew point down 34 degrees already at the park. At 32.
bluewave
Temperature departures through the 29th: NYC...+1.3 LGA...+0.4 JFK....+0.9 EWR..+0.6 BDR..+1.0 ISP....+0.9 You can see that the US was very mild for October. We were in a small area that avoided more significant warm departures. It makes the cold shot earlier this month that set records more impressive since it came in a sea of warm across the US. Our last cold October here was 2009 when there was much more cold air available in the US.

Isotherm
Frosty start to Halloween this year! Frost on the pumpkins Today is my 4th freeze for the month of October, low of 30.6F. Don't believe that's happened too often, in fact, not at all from what I can remember. A lot of maples past peak now, but still excellent color with peak conditions for the most part. The oaks are rapidly turning as well.

With the warm November coming KNYC should get to frz in January lol

Its funny though, color is nice inside and surrounding park but some of the streets look very green.

UnionWeatherWx
After record warmth and a very long summer, I'm ready to rush into the cooler season. I'm done with 80s until next year. That doesn't mean we won't see a few however. 2 days of BN weather, and we are already claiming 80's to be done... Let's not rush winter.Just came upon this post... lol, you seem to not care at this point.
