Norfolk and Broken Bow, NE hit 98...Fargo, ND reached 97. Fargo smashed old daily record by 12 degrees and broke the old monthly record by 4 degrees.

I just looked at Fargo's forecast, and boy am I thankful things aren't quite as extreme here.  They hit 97 (with a dew of 36 I saw on the 4pm observation, HI 92), and now tomorrow the forecast high is middle 50s with heavy winds (some gusts up to 60mph).  From a HI of 92 to a wind chill in the 30s, that is a yuck.  Instead here we have a more subdued decrease in temps, from 79F today to around 70F tomorrow, and then upper 50s/low 60s on Tuesday.  Not a bad situation.

Getting pretty toasty in western MN/eastern SD.  Right under those very toasty 850mb temps.

Damn 85 in International Falls at that point, it is 87 there now.

That is INSANE. I thought it was crazy that mid-upper 90's were happening in Oklahoma yesterday, then I see that it made it to 88F at International Falls.

Also saw this on Twitter and had to check it for myself, wow. "As of 11 P.M. EDT, it was warmer in International Falls, MN (75 F) than Tampa, FL (72 F)"

Was up in Duluth over the weekend checking out the colors. Hit 85F before I left yesterday afternoon. Just insane for mid October.

Wind gusts up to 65mph predicted for W MN this afternoon and 45 mph for the TC metro. Looks like the wind will be blowing out tonight at Wrigley. I'm flying into chitown tomorrow for tomorrow afternoons game. Low 60s and sun. Perfect playoff baseball wx

Tagged 80 yesterday and another legit shot today, things are getting relatively dry around here without a drop of precip the next 7-9 days, have to think this could be one of the driest starts to October ever, we stand at a measly 0.03" inches for the month.

Been a pretty boring fall so far, no dynamic systems in our neck of the woods.

felt so ice yesterday. didn't realize it got this warm, as I was outside all day and wasn't keeping track. Record warmth for the UP tho.

Snow flakes are in the forecast Fri/Sat this week.

Which station hit 91 degrees? That has to be in the running for one of the latest 90 degree days in all of Michigan if it's verified.

Wonder if we'll see our first upper 20's out west this weekend along with possible waterspouts/lake effect snow to the east

Ideally, would like to see 850's a bit colder at this time of year, but it looks cold enough to where I could see snow mixing in at night and/or during heavier precip.
