Hoosier
Still nothing here. No measurable rain since Sept. 29th. Depending on the next week, might still have an outside shot at driest Oct. ever. Wow .16" the number to beat at STL....
cyclone77
That rain yesterday evening was quite nice to wash all the harvesting dust out of the air. It was getting quite thick around here. Yeah it was getting pretty bad. As dry as it was it made for an excellent stretch for the farmers to get their harvesting done.
cyclone77
Not even a tenth here. Yeah that remnant MCV slowly lollygagged through Iowa and dumped quite a bit of rain. The band of storms that consistently rode the back end of the MCV put out one heck of a lightning show, even as it weakened on the IL side. Some more storms riding into the nose of Iowa this morning. ingyball
Looks like there could be some record rain back home in the Dallas area for me, the models are trending wetter for Ohio, 12z GFS has about an inch to an inch and a half for some of the state, The 12z CMC has a nice soaking of 4-5 inches for parts of Ohio. Chambana
Car thermometer said 82. Incredible warmth, for being 10 days out from Halloween.
RCNYILWX
12z GFS and its ensembles, and 12z Euro are hinting at a strong fall system somewhere in the region mid next week. Obviously timing and strength issues at this distance, but we'll see if there's something to track.

Hoping that the ingredients can come into place for a severe threat.
Jonger
Looks like another frankenstorm on the horizon... (Possibly). This one looks to crap up Halloween again with cold temps.
madwx
Had some nice showers here in downtown Madison today, but the airport reported no measurable rain. Still just a T for the month. Friday night looks like a good chance for up to a quarter inch.

Powerball
77 yesterday 75 today, at least it is a warm boring period. Yep. I actually prefer warm/boring this time of year versus the alternative (considering climo)...
Chitown Storm
Been off the board for a while. Ready for some frozen precip. First mention of snow for the season(or at least rain/snow mix) by MPX for early next week's potential system. Last measurable precip in these parts fell Oct 8. Friday looks like a nice synoptic Fall rain system. We need it badly.
TugHillMatt
Yet another windy day here with gusts over 30 mph. Watching leaves fly before they even change color...

Geos
Made it to 72° today around here. Was variably cloudy to partly sunny today. Winds weren't quite as strong as earlier in the week. Definitely have lost color due to the windy conditions this week.
cyclone77
72 here today. Color still looks unusually terrible. Looks like one of the worst busts for fall color that I can remember around here. I guess it must have been the really wet summer that made the color suck. I don't know what else it could be. Gonna head up to WI tomorrow. Hopefully the color up there is halfway decent. snowlover2
0z GFS tracks a low from the TX gulf coast through the OV with a much needed soaker. 12z GFS holds but there is more rain farther north in IL. Heaviest still cuts through S IL/S IN/S OH.

Hoosier
Looking at the progs, the system that is shown to swing up here from the Gulf middle of next week actually looks to be the remnant of Patricia.
snowlover2
Appears 12z Euro is on board. Shows a similar track as GFS/GGEM now.
Hoosier
Obviously the Mexican landmass will do a number on Patricia but it seems plausible that a low/mid level circulation could survive and make it toward the Gulf or nearby. It's shown to be over Mexico for about 24-30 hours per models.
nwohweather
Was listening to the Weather Radio and heard in Toledo we have only received .35" of rain this month. Just absolutely nuts for October, a month that just about guarantees a few rainy days. My lawn is taking a beating similar to that in mid summer
