das
Since there has been a fair amount of discussion on weather warnings and their impact and effectiveness on society here in the forum, I thought I'd share a link to a free seminar tomorrow (24 September 2015) over in College Park on the topic. UMD Dept. of Atmospheric & Oceanic Science (go TERPS!) hosts a series of talks, brown-bag lunches and seminars on relevant topics for their Met and Oceans students but opens them up to the public. Tomorrow's discussion is presented by Dr. Kim Klockow from the NOAA Office of Oceanic & Atmospheric Research. Should be an interesting discussion.
