I think it might be tough without an LDM feed. The EDEX server provides data to the CAVE GUI client and I think that needs model data being fed into the LDM. On the other hand, if Unidata decides to host a public data server, anyone could install the CAVE client and access their model data. heavy_wx Posted November 3, 2015 Share Posted November 3, 2015 FWI, it looks like Unidata has created a version of AWIPS II for mac. http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/blogs/news/entry/awips-ii-cave-for-mac The last time I ran CAVE a week ago, the Unidata EDEX server was back online and seemed to have a fair number of products. That's interesting FWX. I was playing around with AWIPS II when it first went public, but haven't done anything with it sense. I may have to reinstall and give it another shot now that I know players are in the market to provide the data feed for a reasonable price.
