SnoSki14
So far we had that brief downpour earlier today. Waiting to see what tonight and tomorrow brings. Gfs keeps most of the activity to our NW for this system and even the one later this weekend.
cut
Feeling like we miss this in Fairfield County - at least middle county. We have missed most the events this Summer, they have slid to our north and petered out by the time they get here. I am expecting same. Radar seems to bare this out. IntenseBlizzard2014
The radar is starting to flare up over Western NJ.

IsentropicLift
6z Rgem has 2"-4" for the coast. Your post is just a tad deceiving, it implies that the RGEM is only wet for the immediate coast.
Brian5671
The RGEM is insane. It's had that solution for days. Guessing most of it comes this afternoon? Very humid here with rain now.

ag3
Looking at radar, that's a boat load of rain moving up the Jersey shore and aimed right at NYC and east.

No. I've already explained that I consider you the coast. But I do believe with this event, the immediate coast from NYC and east receives the most rain. NYC is already over 1" of rain with more moving in over the next half hour.

I'm over an inch already as well. That means nothing. Using your beloved RGEM, the real batch of rain doesn't arrive until around 00z.
