weatherwiz
00z NAM on Sunday in CT was run from Wiz's basement. Just got back home and looked...wow That is quite an interesting setup. We're looking at fall like dynamics coupled with summer-ish (sort of) instability. This sort of reminds me of a setup that happened...not too far back but produced a few tornadoes in NJ and SE NY I think.

powderfreak
Defintley greener up there than down here though, I was in Burlington area tues-thur and noticed lawns, fields, etc are not crispy brown like SVT August was dry, but June was near record wet. July was fairly average. Mansfield set its all-time June record which has helped average out to wetter than normal MET summer. Still a 10-inch deficit on the year from the dry JAN/FEB/MAR. tamarack
Dumped out 0.84" at 7 AM and I doubt we got much after that as a mini dryslot moved overmy area 8 AM on. Some heavier downpours on my commute but thankfully not for the 2-minute walk from lot to office. This event plus Sunday/Monday (whenever it arrives) should quench the soil's thirst for several weeks. In a couple weeks the trees will have stopped pulling water from the ground so things will no longer dry out as quickly.
