Typhoon Tip
These f products suck, man. What are tax-payer dollars really for? You click on NYC 's NWS '1-hour-total' and 'storm total' and they should at least reasonably add up. Sick of that kind of bullschit. you can't have 2 consecutive hours of 1.5 to 2.0" rainfall, and storm total less than that value. what a-holes. Damage In Tolland
Stalled FAVORABLE STABILITY PARAMETERS AND DEEP MOISTURE ARE IN PLACE. LOW PRESSURE OVER THE MID ATLANTIC STATES IS DIRECTING SOUTHERLY LOW LEVEL WINDS UP THE COAST AND OVER THE STALLED FRONT. THIS MEANS LOW LEVEL CONVERGENCE ALONG THE STALLED FRONT AT THE SURFACE...AND ITS REFLECTIONS UP TO 5000 FEET. ALL OF THIS WILL WORK FAVORABLY TO GENERATE ADDITIONAL SHOWERS/SCATTERED TSTMS DURING THE AFTERNOON. THE DEEP MOISTURE IS AROUND 2 STD DEV ABOVE NORMAL

Typhoon Tip
Pretty heavy band creeping onto the south coast. Keep in mind ... this type of higher pwat air mass will exceed radar appearances... They do have different rad modes they can flip over, and I do believe 'tropical' is one of them. Is KTAN scanning in that mode?
