CoastalWx
Do you still think we get hotter then last week with this heat push? I think so. I haven't seen the euro, but MOS has 92 for Boston. Maybe it's a hair cool? But it would be tough to go 95-97 IMO with those 850 temps.

One defining difference is that in spite of this appeal ... as has been the case all summer long, there's been an odd cap on the verification of temperatures where they have persistently been less than those appeals. ma blizzard
reading through the climate section in todays AFD from BOX, 9/7 record high for KBOS is 102 from 1881. for time of year + climate location / sitting, that must be one of the most impresive record highs for BOS
Typhoon Tip
We need rain... Driving around in this 90/48 type heat out here today, and ALL yard/landscapes are almost entirely swept over by yellow and baby schit beige. Where there is more green, it's heavily tainted by those putrid hues. The shrubs that line the roads and filling in the "under growth" are drooping their foliage, with wilted folding notable. The other day I ran 7.5 miles, and as an homage to the dryness of the air, despite the 88 F temperatures my person was dry - yet I was coughing dehydrated. I realize that the USDM has New England only dappled with light to moderate SL concerns.. .but this current onslaught of 90/50 air is accelerating the surface parch considerably. DP should slowly increasing through mid week, but the higher heights fending off troughing until perhaps Thursday doesn't look good for appreciable rainfall outside of any lucky backyard TCU. Beyond we'll see if dry begets dry...

CoastalWx
Well I guess the front that came through the other day meant business. Came home to an umbrella tossed out and my table on the deck shattered. That sucks.

CoastalWx
Was the umbrella folded/tied ? No and it was a Christmas Tree Shops special so I'm not too bent out of shape. But with my son, now I have to get every shard of glass off the deck. Funny thing was that I meant to take the umbrella out because I knew winds may get gusty, but I forgot. Just a good reason to get a nice end of season sale set.

Damage In Tolland
Seems like the ridge along the east coast builds back in next week. Granted no more 90's.. But it appears a warm pattern lasts right thru end of month
CoastalWx
They'll be alternating periods of warmer and cooler air. It's certainly a change from a stagnant east coast ridge.

Low 80's Sat and upper 80's yesterday doesn't seem very fall like. Unless they meant the cool overnights..but both days were AN. BDL normals now are 78/

This week looks like a all out inferno for much of the east coast. September will definitely be way above normal, it looks like going forward the uncomfortable weather is gone but still above normal as the trough stays to our west. As long as that ridge rebuilds to the east..there's just no way we are going to have any kind of nice, chilly autumnal air masses on the East coast. I just saw a stat that Caribou just had the warmest 20 day period on record or something ridiculous like that
Ginx snewx
Normal by next week is 73/53 looks like all models are that range, chilly autumnal air masses usually start after summer ends Sept 23rd this year.
