Anybody remember that frigid storm we had 6 years ago on 10/15? It produced accumulating snow in many elevated areas and some flakes even down to coast.

Indeed I did remember, the same level of chill is coming this weekend minus the low pressure system. Now let's follow it up with another 2010 except blocking a tad further north.

The higher terrain in New Jersey deserves these types of storms.

Haha. How much did you end up with that storm? The interesting part of the storm was that the trough in place wasn't as impressive as you'd expect for temperatures in the 30s during the day  in the middle of October. Snow this early in the season definitely pushes the theoretical limits of when the earliest snows are possible at this latitude and elevation.
