Morris
The New England forum has a video posted of four water spouts South of Long Island from this morning. Pretty cool to see. I didn't watch radar, but I was wondering why the temp at KFOK went bonkers.

masomenos
Anybody remember that frigid storm we had 6 years ago on 10/15? It produced accumulating snow in many elevated areas and some flakes even down to coast. Pics from High Point:

RedSky
Anybody remember that frigid storm we had 6 years ago on 10/15? It produced accumulating snow in many elevated areas and some flakes even down to coast. Pics from High Point: Indeed I did remember, the same level of chill is coming this weekend minus the low pressure system. Now let's follow it up with another 2010 except blocking a tad further north.
masomenos
The higher terrain in New Jersey deserves these types of storms. Bring on Winter! Haha. How much did you end up with that storm? The interesting part of the storm was that the trough in place wasn't as impressive as you'd expect for temperatures in the 30s during the day in the middle of October. Snow this early in the season definitely pushes the theoretical limits of when the earliest snows are possible at this latitude and elevation.
