Juliancolton
Cold/snowy winter cancel? It's a high-velocity solar wind stream from a coronal hole, not a sunspot. Winter uncancel.

Brian5671
Upton saying that some in the interior could reach 80 tomorrow... looks like the frontal rains hold off until 5-6pm depending on locale so that will help the cause.

jm1220
Still in the 90s down here, and it should be hotter as the upper low retrogrades into Mexico and a new upper ridge settles overhead. Might hit 95 this weekend- yeehawww Southern climate!! Incredible that after the rain we had this spring, much of the central/eastern part of TX is again under severe/extreme drought. Get back to us in January. Although if we get some nice Nor'Easters comin' up, I'll be pretty excited since it is a lot windier where I live now. JerseyWx
Man, this weather is incredible. Tell me about it. Tomorrow should be nice if you're looking for some warmth. 70s with the Dew Point up there should feel pretty warm. This weekend looks good too, and even early next week should be nice. Although if we get some nice Nor'Easters comin' up, I'll be pretty excited since it is a lot windier where I live now. The Nor'easters in January are exactly what I'll miss. Besides that, I have no use for cold, dry weather. I'll take a picture of an icicle or two hanging from the palm tree in front of my building to show you what "winter" is in Austin, the 2 or 3 days it happens the entire season. And it's definitely not a "dry heat" down here despite the worsening drought status. Today reminded me of mid-summer in NYC (granted, outside of the subway stations )

IsentropicLift
Not in our area but just for fun. The GFS has a Pacific tropical system moving due North to near the California coast. Amazing how rare CA landfalls are. You would think that eventually a trough would drop far enough South to pick one up.

SnoSki14
Last shot at 80s Monday? Today is too cloudy for any 80 readings and later next week a cool time looks likely, which will take us past mid October. Chances for 80s will sharply decline soon. IsentropicLift
If that tropical system does reach Southeast Florida in around 10 days there is some indication that a trough will be digging into the southeast which could pull the TC Northward. IsentropicLift
00z GFS has a Wilma track over Florida day 12. At the same time you have a trough building into the lakes. Some ensembles tug it right up the coast.
