IsentropicLift
More like 10+ days. Eh, there are some signs that it will be breaking down by then. This would be a nice change.
IsentropicLift
The Euro sweeps a cold front through on Sunday bringing some scattered thunderstorms and rain showers. Either way, the next 7-10 days look warm and dry, with the pattern breaking down the last few days of the month.

JerseyWx
Yes. Strong radiational cooling. 56.4F already here after a high of only 74.2F. Hoping for my first 40s since the first week of June. Nice, it's 57° here. Definitely calmer wind than last night and the sky is crystal clear. Would be cool to break into the 40s, and tonight would be the best shot for it. Really good night to look at the stars.

LongBeachSurfFreak
Glad we had some much needed heavy rains last week. Seriously. Especially out here where we had the biggest long term deficits. 6" in one day after almost nothing to almost nothing for the long term is not ideal though. The trees were saved/helped but lawns will quickly go back to brown
SnoSki14
We'll get to experience what it's like living in So. California for the next 2-3 weeks. Large diurnal temperature variations in the suburbs as well (50s to mid 80s).
Brian5671
Seriously. Especially out here where we had the biggest long term deficits. 6" in one day after almost nothing to almost nothing for the long term is not ideal though. The trees were saved/helped but lawns will quickly go back to brown the lower sun angle and nightly dews will help the grass, but you are right, it's already drying out here. So much for the wet el nino like 2002. Would have thought we'd flip to a wetter pattern by now. bluewave
The warmth has been so pervasive that the coolest days at NYC over the last two months have only been able to register a -1 daily temperature departure.
