JerseyWx
Does anybody else smell smoke for the last couple of days since it cooled down? Yes, if only people would burn clean wood though. Every so often you'll catch some good stuff with a nice, sweet, crisp smell. The way it should be.

SACRUS
Latest guidance continues with Thu front and storm/rain potential. We'll see how it progresses. Weekend, humid with potential storms Sunday.
SACRUS
Looks like we may finally see some rain this week, fingers crossed. It does continue to look well above normal with a lot more ridging building in after a quick transient cool down. Thu as it looks now could yield some nice storms/rain for the area. After a warm day. Overall above normal pattern continues, perhaps a late chance at 90s on/around 9/16. 80s streak could be challenged this coming weekend 9/12-13 if we remain mostly cloudy-overcast one day. Otherwise the movie never ends it goes on and on and on,

uncle W
Does that follow a typical strong Nino pattern? no but it's the pattern we are in now...1968 was a weaker nino with late season warmth...

mattinpa
I bet we see 90 or near 90 around the 21st...maybe some mid 80's in October before it cools off... I bet against that - it's harder at that time and the pattern doesn't look as warm as before. This year would be the year though if it happens. This year would be the year though if it happens. 1914 was an el nino year with their hottest temperature of 95 coming on 9/22...1965 had upper 80's around the same time...many other none el nino years had heat around the first days of Fall...If this pattern continues it should come close to happening...1957 cooled off the last week of September with rear record cold...I don't see that happening at all this September...
