JerseyWx
50's will feel great tonight Might over perform on some forecasted lows. So dry out here and almost no wind. Haven't seen one cloud all day.
bluewave
We might actually see some much needed rains after the heat this week with a trough setting up over the Great Lakes days 6-10. The location of the stalled out frontal zone slowing down against Atlantic Ridge will determine where the potential jackpot zone sets up. Hopefully, the ridge to the east isn't so strong that the best rains fall west of the Long Island drought zone. The Long Island crew wouldn't be happy if training sets up over Eastern PA through NNJ to NYC.

SnoSki14
Highly skeptical of anything more than light rain or just rain for that matter. Every event has underperformed since the Spring. Interesting how the NAO has been mostly negative all summer and the forecast continues to show a -NAO. LR gfs even shows a response to this. uncle W
The other streak that NYC should keep going is no days below 60 since June 27th. last year the streak was 6/16 to 9/12...I'm not sure what the record is...it probably has years with July and August 60 or above...That happened many times... bluewave
Those SST departures to our east are pretty impressive under the location where the drought ridge has been stuck. Stagnant weather patterns FTW.

IntenseBlizzard2014
By D8-D9. The trough pushes through the area with 850s ranging from 5°C - 10°C for morning lows. The surface temps will most likely range around the mid 50s to low 60s on both the mornings for D8 and D9.

Isotherm
wow today is our largest difference. Hit 82.6 here and it's near there now again. I hit 81 on 7/17 Had a 79 degree high here on Aug 10th, so much shorter streak here...looks like today will get to 79 with an e wind. Yeah, made it to 78.1F here today, so the streak ends. Still very impressive. Beautiful day. Down to 60.1F already.
CIK62
Looks like CPK will have just one rain event during the 19 day period of Aug. 22----Sept.09 with a grand total of 0.13". Probably should have been about 7 measurable events in that amount of time.
