IntenseBlizzard2014
that's still fairly above normal for mid September.I know. The average temps at that point is around 78°F.
Brian5671
Even though it's an East wind today, that is still going over pretty warm waters so it is still muggy. yes, big difference b/w now and June. The same setup in June would give us low to mid 60's for highs

mattinpa
The GFS has more troughing over the east around day 8-9 on. So maybe some more significant cooling is in sight. Sometimes pattern changes are rushed, so we shall see. We could go from summerlike to deep fall like.
Allsnow
the airmass hasn't really changed yet True. But for most places in the metro area its 10 degrees cooler then this time yesterday with a stiff east wind and cloudy sky's.

Juliancolton
True. But for most places in the metro area its 10 degrees cooler then this time yesterday with a stiff east wind and cloudy sky's. Just speaking for my area, I think most of that 10-degree difference (81/65 now compared with a high of 91/65 yesterday) can be attributed to the lack of sunshine. It's been kind of a cheap overcast day, and any real breaks of sun would give temps a quick shot in the arm.
SACRUS
Up to 85 here and mostly sunny the last 45 mins. Perhaps a late high within the next 2 hours ..

Sundog
Tomorrow's likely the best day and then we're back into the soup I was hoping we'd get a nice decent cold front to give us a little taste of fall but we can't even manage average temps.
