would that be storms or a general rain?

Sunday is a coastal phased storm on most models.

Thursday looks more like a convective, scattered rain day but Sunday looks like a legit widespread rain.

It looks like summer is about to finally end.

That's rain I can trust. It's only a matter of time before the Nino starts pumping out southern jet soakers. This terrible drought out here is going to end with a bang

No doubt. Always does.

Looks like the rain parade starts in 2 days.

I think we enter a very wet period. So no more sustained heat.

90s may be a thing of the past but summer like weather in the 70s and 80s I wouldn't write off...the last few rain events underperformed badly including a horrific bust the last one so I would wait until we get thru Thursdays event

Remember 2002?   Dry and hot and then Labor Day came and a noreaster every few days.   This year's later, but looks like it's starting to show up on modeling.

There will be plenty of days in the 80s through the last week of September this year. Likely will be a top 10 or top 5 warmest September on record; I think I went too low with the +3.5 forecast for the I-95 corridor.

Yes. But after this weekend, models are advertising 50s and 60s to the coast.

I think we enter a very rainy period, beginning this Thursday. That will limit consecutive warm days.

Yeah, even on the GFS some 80 degree days are popping up next week, but then back to normal.
