CoachLB
Looking at day 6 of 90. Yesterday was the first 90 degree Labor Day in 30yrs.
Geos
Nice change waking up to thunder and rain. Really dark though for 7:30.
hawkeye_wx
Big bust for east-central Iowa. For a few days models consistently had a heavy rain event for this area overnight, and the nws offices hit it pretty hard, but instead the area got stuck in a subsident region in between storms to the southwest and up in Wisconsin. My gauge is empty. The previous night's 0.78" is all I'll get, and I was one of the lucky ones.
Chicago Storm
Nailed itI wouldn't be so sure.

Hoosier
I wouldn't be so sure. Yeah, decent line out west. Could use some rain...been dodging most of the meaningful stuff.
wisconsinwx
Nice change waking up to thunder and rain. Really dark though for 7:30. No kidding (about both the nice change and darkness). It's refreshing though, made it easier to sleep in, and nice seeing the temp hold steady in the low to mid 70s as well. A couple of rounds of storms are making up for a boring last week or so. cyclone77
Had several hours of thunder overnight/early this morning. Always nice to hear. Picked up 1.11".
SchaumburgStormer
Picked up .54" this morning with the dying line that moved through. Have another good sized line coming through shortly, expect to shoot over an inch today.
A-L-E-K
Yeah, decent line out west. Could use some rain...been dodging most of the meaningful stuff. Looks pretty transient, just not seeing rounds of storms in the cards here
SchaumburgStormer
Must be some high PWATs as this is a straight monsoon style rain. Just 2 or 3 rumbles of thunder, but huge droplets and heavy rain.
SchaumburgStormer
Got another .6", for 1.14" on the day thus far. Side note: I really like the "radar exploration" tool added to radar scope. My gauge and the radar estimate for mby match up closely.
wisconsinwx
Looks pretty transient, just not seeing rounds of storms in the cards here He did not indicate rounds of storms, but it will probably be more than the scattered showers you were predicting. Geos
Raining very hard in Racine right now. Thunder and lightning also. Looks like it is about 7:30 in the evening! Drive in this morning was with driving rain and thunder with ponding on some roads, occasional lightning.

wisconsinwx
OK big guy, I'm not trying to be confrontational, just pointed out. I didn't expect to get two rounds of storms myself as of last night with round one primarily missing, so I was surprised myself.
Geos
I though Alek meant yesterday and yesterday evening. In that case, yeah nothing to show for it until early this morning about 5am. Easily topping an inch of rain today. Was close to 0.50" before this round started.

ClicheVortex2014
If only this were the late Fall or Spring... It's still a time period to watch... but I'd prefer it to be November or May, not September.
