Sugarloaf1989
FYI, anyone going to Soapstone Mountain for the viewing tower might want to know that it's closed off.
Sugarloaf1989
No green left. All Oaks changed/changing Tons of green Oaks here in South Windsor, Ellington, Vernon, Enfield and Springfield, probably still 25% green in those locations. Full foliage in most spots straight up I-91 into Southern Vermont, very unusual for October 27th. A repeat of October 2011 would be a disaster of even greater magnitude. There were more leaves on the trees then than now. Even the oaks were still green. The oaks on this side of the mountain have turned...nothing green. I'd say were about 30% bare too. CT Valley Snowman
My ride to Groton today featured peak to slightly past peak in the Valley and the shoreline and slightly past to well past peak in the hills.

Southern Vermont still has tons of foliage, this area was bare in October 2011 at this point.
CoastalWx
Not far off from October 2011. Still lots of green oaks, although changing.

In 11 we had that first mini snowstorm then wind right before the bomb which really stripped trees in SVT while the coast had lots of green leaves . Sugarloaf1989
Peak foliage here in South Windsor, slightly past peak in Enfield. Rain/wind will probably remove 25% or more.
