ag3
I don't think that's right. The 00z RGEM had the heaviest rains NW. If you want to say that the 06z run nailed it then congrats. A high res mesoscale model nailed the heavy rains as they were on the doorstep, stellar job. I specifically said NYC/LI. It nailed the precip bullseye over the NYC boroughs. Where is this bullseye that you see over NYC? That pink shading is over the Poconos and Western NJ near Budd Lake.

donsutherland1
As of 10 am, most of the NYC area and surrounding region had picked up a general 0.75"-1.50" rain. The heaviest figures appeared in a narrow area including Bridgeport, New Haven, and White Plains. It still appears that additional rain should bring many of the figures into the 1.00"-2.00" range by the time the system departs. Some localized amounts near or even above 3.00" may still be possible. Rainfall totals through 10 am included: Bridgeport: 1.29" Danbury: 0.80" Islip: 0.90" New Haven: 1.19" New York City: ...JFK: 1.09" ...LGA: 0.85" ...NYC: 0.95" Newark: 0.77" Poughkeepsie: 0.92" Westhampton: 0.59" White Plains: 1.46"

LongBeachSurfFreak
This was a nice rain event. It reminded me more of an early fall system.Much more of a synoptic feel then convective. If we can break out in to some sun we have a shot a legit connection later. Not looking good for that. Best rain event of the summer out here. Should help out at least for a little bit
