ORH_wxman
Blue Hill Obs Up 128 in Waltham there's some great spots that look to the west...Totten Pond Road exit has some office buildings that have elevated parking lots that face west over the highway....great viewing spots while not having to get out and hike. USCAPEWEATHERAF
A storm developing offshore to the southwest of the Cape and islands is possible as it takes advantage of the high shear/high cape environment over eastern MA and RI. Especially southeastern MA and RI.

USCAPEWEATHERAF
Current CAPE situation stands at 3000j/kg over Cape and Islands. THis is by far the most unstable airmass of the season.

IsentropicLift
Looks like the Western cell is lining out. Rotation just about gone on radar. Still could end up being a pretty nasty bow echo into downtown Boston in about an hour.
SlantStickers Anonymous
That was f***ing incredible. Craziest thing I've ever experienced while driving. Within two minutes I went from the first drops to zero visibility, hail, branches flying around my car, and the noteworthy sensation of the car rocking. wxsniss
Nice little event here by SNE standards. Wonder if we see a waterspout... some decent parameters and backing of winds just offshore right into eastern MA coastline. Tempted to make a call to actually to drive someplace for a good Boston area view.
TalcottWx
Wow you saw 60kt winds!? That'll level a forest with full foliage. Lots of damage I'm sure. Take pics.I'm actually chasing the orh cell now. I have seen trees scattered down however I chased the storm east and now I'm tracking back south to get in front of other cell. I guess I'd say 45-60mph winds. Car rocked good. Trees swaying. Hail was nickel to quarter.. I left the area to chase the funnel and flew down 128 east to follow it. I have a few other sketchy wall cloud pics.

I would always be skeptical of 60 knots until I see undisputable evidence. 40 knots with foliage and rain can "feel" like 50-55 knots in the winter.
