Up 128 in Waltham there's some great spots that look to the west...Totten Pond Road exit has some office buildings that have elevated parking lots that face west over the highway....great viewing spots while not having to get out and hike.

Didn't expect that to happen. Was too excited to even think of that. I was actually alarmed more than anything.

Wow you saw 60kt winds!? That'll level a forest with full foliage. Lots of damage I'm sure. Take pics.

I'm actually chasing the orh cell now. I have seen trees scattered down however I chased the storm east and now I'm tracking back south to get in front of other cell. I guess I'd say 45-60mph winds. Car rocked good. Trees swaying. Hail was nickel to quarter.. I left the area to chase the funnel and flew down 128 east to follow it. I have a few other sketchy wall cloud pics.

60kts will do a lot of damage. You'd know. Sometimes with rain it looks a little worse. Maybe....I was not there obviously.

I would always be skeptical of 60 knots until I see undisputable evidence. 40 knots with foliage and rain can "feel" like 50-55 knots in the winter.
