2.2 earthquake in Crownsville last night.

Holy crap....so that's what that was. (you would think I'd have known, eh?)

 

I got out of bed and poked around with my flashlight (and the ever-loyal dogs, of course)

Now for the really important news....it rained in Stephens City tonight :)

 

Indeed.  The best rain of the season... by far.  .96 inches  That makes up for the day spent with no A/C.  Thank goodness my in-laws live in the same development.  Is it a law that A/C units must go on the fritz on Sundays when every supply company is closed?

All:

 

LWX has posted their fall SKYWARN roster.  Several Winter classes have been added (BASIC required).  Looks like all the classes are in the evening, with the exception of one daytime class being held in Montgomery County.

so the winter courses -- do they go further into detail on measuring snow? guess i dont know how much more focused it could get beyond the basic course...
